One of the biggest Caribbean music festivals of the year returns in a big way for the 15th edition of Best of the Best Music Fest taking place Columbus Day weekend, Sunday, October 10, at Bayfront Park in Miami.
Florida’s Caribbean music fans have patiently awaited the return of fan-favorite Best of the Best Music Fest; this one-day music festival continues to live up to its name and draws record numbers of festival-goers who bring with them plenty of irie vibes. After taking 2020 off due to the pandemic, the return to live music means that once again the festival will bring together a collective of reggae music’s very best, including notable Spanish Town, Jamaica’s Grammy Award-winning reggae singer, songwriter, rapper and deejay Koffee.
This year’s female-centric lineup also includes the Queen of Dancehall, Jamaican recording artist Spice. This iconic music festival will also feature Lady G, Tanya Stephens, Tarrus Riley, Ding Dong, Tee Jay, Jo Mersa Marley, Abby Dallas, Skinny Fabulous, Bunji Garlin, Farmer Nappy, Lyrikal, Allison Hinds, Patrice Roberts and Problem Child.
With Miami just a short flight from the Caribbean, it serves as the perfect venue to host the popular music festival that continues to draw attendees both stateside and international music lovers who make this festival an annual destination. The move to October from its traditional Memorial Day weekend is more welcoming for those who prefer cooler temperatures over those usually experienced during late spring’s hot days.
As in years past, there will be an ample variety of Caribbean-inspired foods and beverages. Traditional foods such as jerk chicken and other specialty dishes will permeate the air in and around the festival grounds, making the food as enjoyable as the music. For those who wish to indulge in the liquid form, there will also be plenty of beverages to enjoy during the pre-Columbus day event that will have music playing from early afternoon until near midnight. Fortunately, many of those attending will have Monday off work to rehydrate and recover from this incredibly fun all-day festival.
Gates open at 12:00 pm. General admission and VIP tickets are available. Kids 12 and under free with adult admission.
